Up at the cabin for the weekend . My daughter had some great breakfast food and I had a excellent omelette. Great service and great food!Waldo

The ultimate compliment for a diner is that it meets expectations. I go to a diner for comfort food and expect large but not necessarily oversized portions cooked properly and a friendly service. The skillet has all of that. The booths were clean and more importantly the kitchen looks clean also.

I had the best reuben ever! Becky, recommended it and it was amazing! My friends had the California burger and patty melt which were also good. I bet anything on the menu will not disappoint.

It's the perfect hole in the wall non-corporate breakfast and lunch place to eat in the Brainerd Lakes area. The breakfast is to die for. I absolutely love it the omelets this morning was made perfectly.

Awesome lunch and dinner specials. Very clean.. New hours..0530 to 8 pm Monday to Saturday .. Sunday 7am to 8 pm

I used to live a block away and are here nearly weekly for like 3 years. Great food! Whatever the dessert if the day is, just fricking get it!!!

I live nearby and am a frequent flyer here. Great food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the prices are reasonable. I suggest the Cuban burger or Corned Beef Hash. AYCE fish on Fridays, and AYCE ribs (both are $10.99) on Saturdays.

Small, clean, but it is a little cafe, waitresses work hard, food is delicious

I eat breakfast here once a week. It's always amazing! They have a friendly staff and a ma/pa vibe. If you haven't tried their breakfast you really should give them a chance.

Great food at an affordable cost. I've been here numerous times and I think only once I didn't feel too welcomed. That day they may have been busy idk. That same day I found a hair in my food but said nothing because our waitress never came back to our table.

Love this little place! Not much seating and it's almost always busy, especially at breakfast time, but it's still worth a visit. Great food, friendly waitstaff and decent prices.

Excellent food at a good price. Quick and friendly service. Make sure to ask for butter for your pancakes and rolls (default is margarine... Almost turned it into a four star rating 😉).

There were only 3 other small tables and it took them 45 mins for some eggs and took an extra 15 mins for kids Mac and cheese. The hollandaise sauce was sour and old. Servers did not care to bring all the food. If I could give 0 star I would. Definitely won’t be going back to that dump.

Love the new changes to the booths and seating.

The waitress was very nice. But the food was disappointing. No steam off of the biscuits and gravy. It was like warm to cold in some spots of it. When I left I found out that it was from the day before and reheated. Not fresh! If I wanted microwaved leftovers I could've just gone home. I will not be returning

Came for breakfast, left full. They make everything from scratch. Fluffy large pancakes, thick flavorful bacon, tasty sausage, and awesome service. Exterior could use a more pleasant paint scheme, but don't be put off by the exterior. (They've updated the exterior - Much Better! They've also added a banquet room.)

Really good food in the sleepy part of Brainerd. Food was fast and tasty, and service was friendly. A great old school diner feel.

The food here is absolutely delicious, it came out hot and they had a great variety. I highly recommend the breakfast skillet! The service however was incredibly slow, the place wasn't super busy and it took almost an hour to get our food. If you aren't in a rush this would be a great place to get breakfast!

I love The Skillet! Everything is homemade and delicious! Prices are very reasonable with lots of items to choose from. Waiting staff is always friendly.

Great breakfast 2 eggs perfectly over medium, a big serving of crispy, great tasting jssh browns, and toast for $5.99. It really was good.

Worst service in history....waited 45 minutes no food...table came in after us got there food before us..we finally walked out paying for coffee only....waitress was unfriendly didn't even get order right came back to ask us what I ordered.....will never go back....if they had a no star rating would be to much....oh and table next to us sat in window for 10 minutes sure there's was nice no cold...horrible will never go back

Great breakfast. All 4 of us had a delicious meal. Tasty and hot. French toast was delicious. I recommend"The Eats". It was awesome. The bathrooms could use an update. There was a shortage of seating but that was just a temporary annoyance. We will return!

Great place for any meal

A nice variety of breakfast items, relatively Classic Fair, except for a few. Did you make their own corned beef hash, and have a unique sausage gravy over mashed potatoes dish that was also quite good. The restaurant is relatively small, so seating is limited. Staff were all Pleasant and helpful.

Wonderful food and good atmosphere.

It was really yummy! I got Huevos Rancheros and my boyfriend got The Gut Buster Breakfast Burrito. Lots of food on your plate for a decent price!
